Cooch Behar, 15th February: Sensation prevailed after a fire broke out in a multi-story building in Cooch Behar New Kadamtala area. Two people lost their lives in the incident.
It has been learned that the locals sighted smoke coming out of the building this morning. Following which, the fire department was informed. Two engines of the fire brigade rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours.
The locals informed that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Cooch Behar Kotwali police recovered two bodies and sent them for autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
