Siliguri, 15th November: In yet another massive fire incident in the city, a devastating fire broke out at a decorator’s warehouse in the Dhaknikata area of Siliguri’s Ward No. 46 on Thursday night. This was the second fire reported in the city within 24 hours. Earlier on Wednesday night, a fire mishap on SF Road had completely destroyed three shops.
According to reports, locals detected thick black smoke emerging from the warehouse that escalated into large flames. The fire rapidly spread inside the warehouse. The local residents immediately alerted the fire department. Meanwhile, Councillor Dilip Barman of Ward No. 46 also arrived at the scene.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the location, and firefighters managed to control the blaze. However, the entire warehouse had been reduced to ashes. The decorator, who owns the warehouse, suffered significant losses. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under further investigation.
