Fifteen stolen mobile phones worth eight lakh recovered by Pradhan Nagar Police in Siliguri

Siliguri, 21st February: Pradhan Nagar Police have recovered 15 mobile phones worth around ₹8 lakh that were stolen from an online delivery company. The recovery follows an investigation after a written complaint was filed at the Pradhan Nagar Police Station on 18th February by the company management.


According to the complaint, thieves broke a warehouse window and stole 15 branded mobile phones. During the investigation, police arrested two employees of the company, Sumir Chaudhary and Rohit Bhagat. The accused were produced before the Siliguri court on 19th February and remanded for interrogation.

Based on their statements, police recovered all 15 stolen mobile phones from Sumir Chaudhary’s residence late Friday night. Both accused had been working as delivery personnel with the company for around three years.
