Rajganj, 15th January: Fifteen Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from Rajganj have submitted applications seeking exemption from all SIR (Special Intensive Revision) work, citing mounting pressure during the ongoing SIR hearing phase.
The BLOs, deployed in the Sukani Gram Panchayat area under the Rajganj Assembly Constituency, alleged that the Election Commission’s procedures have placed undue responsibility and stress on them. They claimed that this has not only increased their mental and physical strain but has also affected their personal and family life.
In response to the growing pressure, the fifteen BLOs collectively submitted written applications to Joint BDO of Rajganj Block, Sourabh Kanti Mandal, formally requesting to be relieved of all duties related to SIR work.
One of the BLOs stated that it has become impossible to continue working under such persistent stress, prompting them to file the exemption requests.
