Siliguri, 07th November: The fate of a person changed overnight after winning a lottery of Rs 1 crore. Hussain Mandal, a resident of the South Colony of Siliguri, is a ring and birth stone seller by profession. He roams around the city selling rings and birthstones.
Avid lottery player and with the same regular routine, he bought a lottery of Rs 30 and on Sunday evening he found out that he won the first prize. However, after winning he got a little scared and overwhelmed. Eventually, he asked for protection at the NJP police station. Hussain Mandal said that he is a resident of Barasat in Kolkata, but he has been living in his sister’s house in the South Colony area of Siliguri for a long time. He has a wife, two daughters and a son. He wishes to build a house first with the prize money.
