Rajganj, 02nd October: The only road heading from Fatapukur to Rajganj is in a dilapidated condition. In addition, a specific portion of the road has collapsed.
As per reports, a part of the said road adjacent to the culvert of the irrigation canal, near the Block Development Office (BDO) in Totaigachh Rajganj, has collapsed. As heavy vehicles commute through the road, the residents of the area fear a major accident.
In this regard, the locals claimed that the road had been in a deplorable state for about three months. They stated that, despite alerting the administration, the issue was left unaddressed. Meanwhile, local Panchayat member Swarnajit Roy stated that the matter has been reported to the higher authorities and they expect a positive development on the matter soon.
