Rajganj, 29th October: The Navodaya Sangha of Fatapukur has chosen the theme ‘Pakhir Desha Maa’ for this year’s Kali Puja, drawing widespread attention as last-minute preparations are underway.
Situated in Panikauri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block, Navodaya Sangha has been hosting a grand Kali Puja celebration for several years. This year marks their 50th anniversary, a golden jubilee, with the chosen theme, ‘Pakhir Desha Maa,’ designed to revive memories of rural birdlife. The puja mandap has been decorated with various materials, including jute sticks, clay, and straw, crafted into artistic representations.
According to the organizers, the theme highlights the disappearance of many bird species that once flourished in rural areas. Through the displays, they aim to show the present generation how birds build nests and emphasize the importance of conserving bird species in the face of current ecological challenges.
