Alipurduar, 27th March: Hundreds of farmers in Alipurduar protested by throwing tomatoes in the streets as they did not get a fair price for their produce. The incident surfaced on Saturday morning in Kamakhyaguri of the Alipurduar district.
The farmers alleged that they are not getting a fair price for the crops and complained of deprivation. Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and lifted the protest. Meanwhile, traffic came to a standstill due to the incident.
