Siliguri, 17th August: Sensation gripped Lelin Colony in Matigara II Gram Panchayat of Siliguri after miscreants allegedly made a family unconscious and committed theft. The incident occurred on Friday night.
According to the homeowner, Biswa Singha, the family went to bed after dinner, only to discover the next morning that their house had been ransacked and valuables were missing.
Reports suggest that gold jewelry and other items worth lakhs of rupees were stolen. Notably, a similar theft took place in the home of Singha’s neighbour recently, where the family was also rendered unconscious. Despite the previous incident, no arrests have been made so far.
This latest theft has left residents in the area in a state of panic. The Matigara police have begun investigating the matter, but locals remain anxious as they await further developments.
