Siliguri, 25th September: Mail to about 100 people was sent from two fake email IDs in the name of Subiresh Bhattacharya, Vice-Chancellor of North Bengal University in the past 24 hours.
Subiresh Bhattacharya stated that many people associated with the education sector have been sent e-mails from this fake email ID demanding money from people. After receiving these emails, many people contacted Subiresh Bhattacharya.
Following this, he lodged a complaint at the cybercrime today. The matter has also been filed with the Google authorities. He claims it to be a conspiracy to defame the university.
