Naxalbari, 27th March: An Eye Screening Camp was organized on Thursday at the Naxalbari police station premises under the aegis of the Naxalbari Lions Club and with the support of the Naxalbari police station of Darjeeling District Police.
A total of 100 people underwent eye examinations during the camp. The event was attended by Lions President Kaushik Acharya, Narendra Prasad, Prahlad Kumar Biswas, Deb Prasad Bhowmik, Nimalya Biswas, Banwari Lal Maheshwari, Vijay Agarwal, Raj Kumar Modi, Pawan Agarwal, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik Acharya stated that the eye check-up camp is held at Naxalbari police station on the last Thursday of every month. The camp provided eye examinations for the general public, and patients with cataract-related issues were referred to the hospital for further check-ups.
Additionally, various eye tests were conducted during the camp. Acharya further announced that a mega eye check-up camp is scheduled to be organized in April.
