Rajganj, 30th October: An incident of theft has come to the fore from the Sudam Gach area of Ambari, under Rajganj block, where miscreants made way with parts of an electric transformer. Consequently, electricity service was disrupted, on Monday morning, resulting in hardships for the residents.
According to reports, the shutdown of the electricity service resulted in the residents being unable to avail drinking water facilities from PHE. The residents claimed that the electricity service was halted at around 3 a.m., this morning. Later, as the locals investigated, they noticed that a few parts of the electricity transformer were missing. They added that due to the failure of electricity, water service was also affected.
After the incident, the matter was informed to the electricity department. Upon receiving the complaint, the staff of the department arrived at the spot; however, the service was yet to be resumed. In this regard, the residents demanded immediate restoration of electricity service.
