Dabgram, 08th July: Panchayat elections were successfully held today in few locations with the presence of state police and central security forces. However, reports of violence emerged from several places, indicating a mixed situation during the elections.
In contrast, at booth number 07, 08, and 09 in Dimdima busty, Betgera of Dabgram Gram Panchayat-I, under Jalpaiguri district, the election was conducted peacefully despite the absence of central security forces. Surprisingly, only one policeman from the state police was deployed at these booths. Remarkably, no incidents of violence were reported, highlighting the peaceful nature of the election process at these specific booths.
