Elderly pensioners stand in a long queue for old age allowance renewal in Rajganj

Rajganj, 18th July: Elderly pensioners witnessed standing and waiting in long queues for the renewal process of old-age pensions in front of the Binnaguri Gram Panchayat office in Rajganj block.


According to reports, under the elderly pension project, individuals aged 60 years and above receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000. The process of renewing these allowances has commenced in various areas under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat such as Haricharan Vita, Chakiavita, and Bhot Para.

In this regard, Samijuddin Ahmed, the Pradhan of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat, mentioned that the renewal work for elderly pension schemes, also known as the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, has been ongoing since the 12th of July. Many beneficiaries from the area are actively engaging in the renewal process as the work is expected to continue until Friday.
