Eight cattle rescued before smuggling in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 07th October: In a successful operation by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), eight cows were rescued from smugglers on the India-Nepal border in Naxalbari.


The incident occurred on Sunday night when cattle smugglers attempted to transport cows from Nepal in the Bara Maniram Jote area of Naxalbari. During routine border patrolling, personnel from SSB No. 8 Battalion spotted the smugglers, prompting them to abandon the cows and flee the scene.

Following the rescue, the SSB handed over the eight cows to the Naxalbari police, who are currently investigating the entire incident.
