Siliguri, 13th August: Today, various programs were organized by the Siliguri East Bengal Fan Club at Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri on the occasion of East Bengal Club’s Sports Day.
East Bengal Club General Secretary Deepak Das alias Paltu Dar was honoured on his birthday by placing a wreath on his picture. During this time, Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb, Secretary of Siliguri East Bengal Fan Club Anup Bose, Councilor of Ward No. 12 Basudev Ghosh and others were present.
On the occasion of sports day, health check-up camps, corona booster dose, and blood donation camps were organized. Also, many meritorious students and sportspersons were felicitated and honoured for their achievements. At the same time, a press conference was held at the Siliguri Journalists Club and a magazine called ‘Yugsandhi’ was released.
Siliguri East Bengal Fan Club Secretary Anup Bose said that East Bengal Club celebrates this day as a sports day every year. To commemorate the occasion the club always honour the meritorious students and sportspersons to show support to the ones who are always involved in the game.
