Siliguri, 07th August: An e-rickshaw driver was arrested by NJP Police for allegedly molesting a young woman passenger mid-journey.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning after the woman boarded the e-rickshaw from the Tinbatti More area. The accused, identified as Biplab Biswas, is a resident of Tinbatti.
According to the complaint, the driver molested her during the ride. Traffic police noticed the incident and immediately took the driver to NJP police station.
Based on the woman’s written complaint, police arrested the driver and later produced him before the Jalpaiguri court.
