Siliguri, 28th March: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has called for the Uttar Kanya Abhiyan in Siliguri today. In response, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has enforced strict security measures to prevent any untoward incidents during the campaign.
A heavy police presence has been deployed from Jalpai More to Tinbatti More to stop the rally, effectively turning the area into a security zone. Barricades have been set up to prevent DYFI workers from reaching Uttar Kanya during the demonstration.
According to reports, approximately 800 police personnel have been stationed to control the situation and restrict the movement of protesters.
Notably, in preparation for the campaign, DYFI organized a massive rally in the city on Wednesday, led by State Secretary Minakshi Mukherjee.
