DYFI calls for Uttar Kanya Abhiyan on March 28

Siliguri, 26th March: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has announced an Uttar Kanya Abhiyan on March 28, marking as Anti-Unemployment Day. DYFI State Secretary Minakshi Mukherjee addressed a press conference at Anil Biswas Bhavan on Wednesday regarding the movement.

Mukherjee stated that the government continuously avoids questions concerning the employment of job-seeking youth. She emphasized that on March 28, job seekers and common people from across the state will march to Uttar Kanya to demand answers.

She strongly criticized the state government, claiming that Bengal is falling behind due to various issues. Additionally, she raised concerns about fake medicines, the alleged exploitation of tea garden workers’ land, and corruption, including illegal extraction of sand and stone from rivers.
