Siliguri, 29th June: Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb announced that the city’s drinking water problem will soon be resolved, with the first phase of a major water project already underway. The second phase is set to begin following the completion of the tender process.
Speaking after the monthly session of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Saturday, Mayor Deb assured that the ongoing water project will address the water supply issues in Siliguri.
He also mentioned that action regarding a complaint about illegal construction by a retired police officer is pending a directive from the High Court, which the complainant has approached. Further steps will be taken based on the court’s instructions.
