Jalpaiguri, 23rd August: A meeting of the district health committee was held at the Jalpaiguri District Magistrate’s office on Monday. Apart from DM Moumita Godara Basu, North Bengal OSD for Public Health Dr Susanta Roy, District CMOH Dr Ramendranath Pramanik, PHE, PWD administrative officials were present at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, OSD Dr Susanta Roy maintained that there is no problem with the vaccination in different municipal areas. He stated that if proper space is provided on behalf of the administration, the vaccination drive will be conducted promptly.
“At present, there are enough vaccines in the district. There is nothing to worry about. All the health centers in the district are in good condition. Only Meteli and Belakoba health centers need to be developed,” Roy added. Concerning the vaccination of children, he said that no decision has been taken as of now and that they are waiting for the protocols.
