Siliguri, 12th January: Sensation prevailed after the disrobed body of an unidentified individual was found in the bushes along the railway line adjacent to Siliguri’s Chandmuni area under the jurisdiction of Matigara police station.
As per details received, on Friday morning, the locals spotted the deceased body and reported the matter to the police. Upon receiving the news, the Matigara police arrived at the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem. However, at the time of the report, the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
Police sources stated no injury marks on the individual’s body. They added that the precise cause of death would be known after the autopsy report. Meanwhile, the police are engaged in further investigation.
