Siliguri, 10th December: A district-level assistance camp and discussion session was organized by the West Bengal Government’s Department of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and the Department of Textiles to address the issues faced by entrepreneurs and promote growth in the sector.
On Tuesday, the meeting witnessed the participation of small and medium-scale entrepreneurs from Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts at the Mainak Tourist Lodge in Siliguri,. The event was attended by Minister of MSME, Chandranath Sinha, Rajesh Pandey, Mayor Gautam Deb, and others.
During the session, Minister Chandranath Sinha announced that loan worth ₹4,888 crore had been distributed across the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts. Several entrepreneurs were also handed documents for business loans during the meeting. The discussions focused on the challenges faced by businesses, as well as exploring new industries in the region.
