Rajganj, 06th July: Dilip Ghosh, the All India Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), actively campaigned in Belakoba on the final day of the upcoming Panchayat polls scheduled for July 8. In a significant show of support, Ghosh led a five-kilometer rally from Vivekananda More to Chowrangi More in Belakoba, under the Rajganj block.
The rally saw the participation of candidates for the Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad from various parts of Rajganj. Notable figures such as Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Kumar Roy, Jalpaiguri District President Bapi Goswami, and Jalpaiguri Yuva Morcha President Paulen Ghosh also attended the event.
During a media address, Dilip Ghosh expressed unwavering confidence in the BJP’s prospects and predicted that the party would achieve excellent results in Jalpaiguri. He drew attention to the unfortunate loss of lives, including BJP officials, across the state and criticized the lack of action from the government in curbing the violence. Ghosh accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of attempting to secure electoral victories through the instillation of fear among the public. He further highlighted a recent incident involving a bullet fired at District President Bapi Goswami’s car and emphasized the need for thorough investigations into every such incident.
