Kharibari, 25th June: As part of the Chief Minister’s promise to deliver Prasad from the Digha Jagannath Temple to homes across Bengal, distribution of ‘Mahaprasad’ took place in several areas of Kharibari block on Wednesday through local ration shops.
The state-wide programme, which began on 20th June, will continue till 26th June. Similar distributions have already taken place in other parts of the state.
Residents of Kharibari expressed happiness upon receiving the sacred offering.
Kharibari Panchayat Samiti Karmadhyaksha Monika Roy Singha stated that the initiative ensures that even those unable to visit Digha can receive the blessings of Lord Jagannath at home.
