Dhupguri, 26th July: The Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Dhupguri Assembly Constituency Bishnupada Roy passed away at the SSKM Hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday.
The mortal remains of the MLA was brought to his residence located at ward no 11 of Dhupguri Municipality late on Tuesday night. Earlier, the leader was paid tribute at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state headquarters and the assembly constituency. Today, numerous people flocked to the MLA’s residence to get a last glimpse of the leader.
During this, BJP District President Bapi Goswami, Falakata MLA Deepak Barman, BJP leader Bubai Kar, including MLAs and BJP leaders of Dhupguri and North Bengal were present. In addition, leaders of the Nagrik Manch and Trinamool Congress (TMC) party also arrived to pay last respects to the MLA. Later, the body of the MLA was taken to the BJP office.
