Siliguri, 20th January: Jalpaiguri, 20th January: At least 13 people lost their lives and 18 were injured in a tragic road accident on the national highway near Jaldhaka Bridge area of Dhupguri under Jalpaiguri district, on Tuesday night.
One of the injured, Pushpa Roy, lost her life this morning at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital while undergoing treatment.
State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb and minister Rabindranath Ghosh visited NBMCH and expressed their condolences to the deceased’s family members. Besides, the Chief Minister has announced compensation for the families of the victims and the injured.
