Siliguri, 24th April: The parents of 7-year-old Raj Das, a resident of East Hatiadanga under Dabgram-Fulbari Assembly, are urging for assistance after their son lost four fingers in a tragic accident earlier this year.
The mishap occurred in January due to negligence, as the boy’s fingers were caught in a noodle cutting machine. He was initially taken to Siliguri District Hospital, but was later referred to NBMCH for further treatment. However, due to financial constraints, the family had to admit him to a private hospital in Siliguri, where he underwent a surgery. Despite this, the doctors have recommended plastic surgery, which requires a large sum of money that the family cannot afford.
Raj’s father, Sanjib Das, works in a noodle-making factory and has limited income to support his family. They are now requesting help from the public to cover the costs of their son’s medical treatment.
