Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar inaugurated oxygen plant at Siliguri District Hospital

Siliguri, 16th March: After North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, an oxygen plant has been inaugurated at Siliguri District Hospital, on Wednesday.


   

During the Coronavirus pandemic, oxygen crisis was witnessed in the entire country. Keeping that situation in mind, an oxygen plant has been set up in Siliguri District Hospital following the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.


It has been learned that the plant in Siliguri District Hospital will produce 500 liters of oxygen per minute. Deputy Mayor of Siliguri Ranjan Sarkar inaugurated the oxygen plant today.

Ranjan Sarkar said that the plant has been set up in collaboration with a Maharashtra-based company. From now on, this plant will meet the oxygen demand of the patients of Siliguri district hospital.
