Siliguri, 15th September: With dengue remaining a matter of concern in the city, Ward No. 27 Committee of Siliguri Municipal Corporation has taken initiative to make the common people aware of the disease. The matter took a worrying turn after a person lost his life while battling the mosquito-borne viral disease on Tuesday.
Ever since the news broke out, the administration has been initiating several services to prevent dengue. Mayor Goutam Deb has appealed to the officials to increase awareness among the people. Following this, Councilor of Ward No. 27, Prashant Chakraborty, today took to the streets of the ward to raise awareness regarding dengue.
During this, disinfectant was sprayed on the entire area. Also, leaflets were distributed. Councilor Prashant Chakraborty said that he will continue this campaign in the coming days also.
