Alipurduar, 11th July: The decomposed body of a youth was discovered in a house in the Shikshak Pally area of Ward No. 09 of Alipurduar Municipality. The deceased has been identified as Ranajay Sen, an e-rickshaw driver.
On Wednesday, neighbors alerted the police after detecting a strong odor emanating from the house. That night, police officers broke down the door and found Ranajay Sen’s body hanging inside. Authorities believe Sen committed suicide two to three days prior, as the body had already begun to decompose. The body has been sent to Alipurduar District Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Neighbors reported that Sen was a divorcee living alone. The police have recovered the deceased’s mobile phone and are investigating whether any other factors contributed to his apparent suicide, possibly due to mental exhaustion.
