Decomposed body of woman recovered from a closed house in Siliguri’s Ravindra Nagar area

Siliguri, 27th April: A tragic discovery caused a stir in the Ravindra Nagar area, located under Ward No. 21 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The decomposed body of a woman was found, leaving the neighbourhood in a state of shock and disbelief. The deceased has been identified as Anvesha Biswas, a 35-year-old woman.


According to the information, Anwesha’s father passed away two years ago, and since then, she had been living with her mother for a while before deciding to live independently. However, family members have revealed that she was mentally disturbed for a while. This afternoon, when they came to check on her, they found her house locked, and despite repeated attempts to contact her, there was no response. This led them to become increasingly concerned, and they promptly informed the Siliguri Police.

Upon receiving the report, the police acted swiftly and made their way to the location. When they broke into the house, they found the lifeless body of Anwesha lying on the floor. The police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem examinations. The Siliguri Police has now launched an investigation into the incident to determine what happened. This unfortunate event has undoubtedly caused distress and sadness to those who knew Anwesha, and the community at large. The authorities assured to do their utmost to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her passing and bring closure to the matter.
