Siliguri, 30th July: The Detective Department team raided a shop in front of the Siliguri court and arrested two accused on the charge of making fake driving licenses and vehicle registration certificates. The arrested accused have been identified as Souvik Ghosh and Biplab Das.
According to DD sources, an illegal business of fake license and vehicle registration documents was going in a shop near the Siliguri court area. Souvik Ghosh and Biplab Das were arrested in a raid last night. Fake license and registration documents were recovered from the shop.
The duo was produced at the Siliguri court on Friday. After questioning them, the police learned that the accused individuals used to charge 4,000-5,000 rupees for making driving license and registration documents.
Kajal Chakraborty, assistant secretary of the Siliguri Law Clerks Association, said that strict action is needed to be taken against the two. A memorandum will be issued to the Commissioner of Police to increase surveillance of all online activities carried outside the court.
