Siliguri, 08th August: The Detective Department and Special Operations Group of Siliguri Police Commissionerate recovered cough syrup and intoxicating tablets worth lakhs. Two men were arrested in the incident. The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Paul, resident of New Pal Para, and Ganesh Saha, resident of Vivekananda Pally Raja Ram Mohan Road.
It has been learned that the Detective Department and Special Operations Group raided a godown in Rabindra Nagar area of Siliguri’s Ward No. 21 on Saturday night and recovered around 1300 bottles of cough syrup and 10 thousand intoxicating tablets.
The arrested individuals were produced at Siliguri court on Sunday. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
