Darjeeling, 18th September: The Darjeeling Police have introduced a new initiative to enhance women’s safety in the region with the launch of pink mobile van.
Reportedly, the van will be specifically deployed in areas such as colleges, girls’ hostels, and locations where women safety is a concern.
The pink mobile van, staffed by women police officers, is designed to respond swiftly to reports of incidents involving women. Upon receiving information about any untoward events, the van will promptly reach the location to provide assistance.
The initiative was officially inaugurated by IG North Bengal Rajesh Kumar Yadav.
