Siliguri, 09th October: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista accompanied by Darjeeling MLA Neeraj Zimba and Kurseong MLA BP Bajgain visited the recently opened Aadhar Seva Kendra (ASK) at Nepali Academy located near Bokshi Jhora, Hill Cart Road, Darjeeling. The ASK has the capacity to process 100 requests per day.
Due to the lack of Aadhar Seva Kendra, the people who live in remote areas, Tea and Cinchona garden areas have been facing huge difficulties following data mismatch (date of birth, name/surname, phone numbers, and others) in the Aadhar, because of which they were unable to complete the Aadhar linking with PFs, PAN.
On learning about the issue, MP Raju Bista initiated the process of urging the UIDAI authority for setting up the ASKs in Darjeeling, Siliguri and Kalimpong. “I am hopeful that the problems in getting Aadhar update will be resolved because of these new centres,” Bista wrote on social media. The MP further maintained that he is trying to get Aadhar centres opened up in Kurseong, Mirik and Bijanbari.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista arrived at Bagdogra Airport this morning and left for the hills. He received a grand welcome in Kurseong on behalf of the party’s alliance partner GNLF.
