Bagdogra, 11th January: The construction of the new terminal at Bagdogra Airport has commenced with a target of completion in 30 months. To assess the progress, Bista held a meeting with airport authorities and the agencies involved in the construction of the new terminal.
After the meeting, MP Raju Bista conducted an inspection of the ongoing work at the terminal. He informed that construction of the new terminal building and a multi-level car parking facility had already begun, with experienced engineers working on-site. Approximately 10% of the work has been completed, and the new terminal is expected to be completed by March 2027, after which it will be opened to the public.
Once finished, the new terminal is expected to benefit the people of Siliguri and Darjeeling, providing them with improved airport facilities.
