Siliguri, 31st December: On Tuesday, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista provided financial assistance to the traders affected by the devastating fire at Bidhan Market in Siliguri.
Reportedly, a devastating fire reportedly occurred on September 28, causing significant damage to several shops in the market. Following this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and MP Raju Bista announced financial aid for the victims. Later, government funds were distributed to the affected traders.
On Tuesday, MP Raju Bista’s office handed over the promised financial aid to the affected shopkeepers. The distribution took place in the presence of Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, BJP Siliguri District President Arun Mondal, and other BJP councilors. Although MP Bista could not attend the event due to health reasons, the traders were grateful to receive the support.
