Darjeeling District Yuva Congress hands over memorandum to Siliguri SDO in support of various demands

Siliguri, 02nd June: The Darjeeling District Yuva Congress handed over a memorandum to the Siliguri SDO in support of various demands.


Allegations of irregularities and black marketing have surfaced against various nursing homes in Siliguri amid the COVID situation. The members of the Yuva Congress handed over a memorandum to the SDO in support of various demands including taking measures to curb black marketing in nursing homes.

Rohit Tiwari, president of the Darjeeling District Yuva Congress, said that several nursing homes are carrying out black marketing over the treatment of COVID patients. He accused the administration of not taking any action yet and demanded that black marketing concerning oxygen, medicines, and oximeters should be looked into immediately.


He added that people queuing for vaccination at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital are falling prey to unscrupulous brokers. He demanded that vaccination be arranged at every borough office of SMC.
