Siliguri, 10th April: In light of the nation-wide lockdown, the Darjeeling District West Bengal Trinamool Madhyamik Shikshak Samiti donated 4 lakh 50 thousand 40 rupees in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
As per the report, 317 teachers from the Darjeeling district collectively donated the said amount with the help of cheques and online payment mode.
The District President of the association Dr. Suprakash Roy handed over a total of 37 cheques of 56 thousand 253 rupees each to the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb on Friday morning. He stated that the remaining amount of 3 lakh 93 thousand 747 rupees was paid online.
