Siliguri, 28th March: Sensation prevailed after Darjeeling District Trinamool Youth Congress president Kunta Roy’s car was allegedly vandalized.
According to the information, Kuntal Roy assisted Tourism minister Goutam Deb in electioneering, in the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency. Following which he returned home and parked his car in front of his house, on Saturday night. However, the following morning, he found his car was vandalized by miscreants.
As per the report, he informed the police about the incident. After examing the CCTV footage, the police has started the investigation.
Meanwhile, Kuntal Roy alleged that the miscreants might be Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) workers and alleged that documents of the TMC kept inside the car are missing.
Denying all allegations, Raju Saha, BJP’s District General Secretary, said that the Siliguri police are investigating the incident and that no BJP member is involved in the incident.
