Siliguri, 06th October: The Darjeeling District TMC Legal Cell took to the streets in protest of the Hathras incident.
The demonstration programme was attended by State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Ranjan Sarkar, and various members of the district Trinamool Legal Cell. The protest rally commenced from Siliguri Court premises and then toured around different areas of the city.
Minister Goutam Deb strongly condemned the Hathras gang-rape incident and said that the media representatives were not allowed to meet the families of the victim. He also opposed several decisions taken by the central government.
