Siliguri, 29th May: Darjeeling district CMOH Pralay Acharya stated that another woman in Kharibari, who had come in contact with the infected woman in the same area, also tested COVID-19 positive. Following this, the patient has been taken to the Matigara COVID hospital.
On the other hand, Bini Sharma, Chairman of the Patient Welfare Association of Kurseong Sub-Divisional Hospital, stated that 4 people (3 females and 1 male) in Darjeeling District also tested positive for the virus. All of them are being taken to the Matigara COVID Hospital.
With this, 5 positive cases have been reported from Darjeeling district in the past 24 hours.
