Siliguri, 12th December: The Congress on Thursday snatched Himachal Pradesh from the BJP winning 40 seats in the 68-member Assembly. The victory celebration was also witnessed in Siliguri.
Darjeeling District Congress today took out a rally in the city to thank and congratulate the people of Himachal Pradesh. The rally started in front of the party’s district office at Hashmi Chowk and circumambulated various areas and concluded again at Hashmi Chowk. Congress workers and supporters as well as party leader Shankar Malakar, District Youth Congress President Rohit Tiwari and other leaders of the district participated in this rally.
