Siliguri, 23rd January: The 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated by the Darjeeling district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista hoisted the national flag at the party office and garlanded Netaji’s portrait and paid tribute to the great freedom fighter. Apart from this, a grand procession was also taken out across the city.
The MP mounted a horse and joined the procession which commenced from Hashmi Chowk and concluded in front of Netaji’s statue at Hati More Subhas Pally. Raju Bista along with other party leaders garlanded the statue of Netaji and paid tribute to him.
