Siliguri, 27th February: In a recent development, the cops of the NJP police station successfully recovered a dal-laden truck that had gone missing from the NJP area. Significantly, the vehicle was recovered from Howrah.
According to reports, a truck loaded with dal worth around Rs 20 lakh was heading towards Hathras in Uttar Pradesh from Assam when it went missing from the NJP area. Following this, the business owner filed a complaint at the NJP police station.
The police initiated an investigation based on the complaint and arrested the owner of the truck in connection to the case. Further investigation revealed that the truck driver along with a gang of miscreants had allegedly made off with the truck.
Subsequently, after receiving a tip-off, the police arrived at Howrah and recovered the truck with the stolen dal stocked up in an abandoned house. Meanwhile, the businessman was elated with the recovery of the stolen pulses.
