Rajganj, 27th August: A traditional ‘Dadhikando’ game was organized in Paghalupara, Rajganj, on the occasion of Lord Krishna Janmashtami. The event, managed by Rajbanshi Kristi, took place at Kachu More in Binnaguri Village and saw participation from several teams across the Rajganj block.
Bhakta Roy, a committee member, highlighted the historical significance of the game, noting that it was once conducted by Baba Thakurwara.
He expressed concern over the erosion of Rajbanshi community traditions and culture, emphasizing the importance of preserving these practices for future generations. The event, which has drawn large crowds for 19 years, included ‘Khichdi Prasad’ for all attendees.
