Rajganj, 02nd September: On the occasion of Janmashtami, Rajganj celebrated the day with the traditional sport of ‘Dadhi Kado’ in Belakoba. Like every year, the event was organized in Malivita under the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block, following the auspicious ‘Ashtamangala Tithi’ of Janmashtami.
Teams from various parts of Rajganj Block participated in the sport, which was complemented by various other games. Additionally, winners of each game were awarded prizes.
In this regard, the event organizers highlighted that while many places hold mud play events the day after Janmashtami, they prefer to celebrate following the ‘Ashtamangala Tithi’ of Janmashtami. This year marked the 12th anniversary of their traditional sport. The event witnessed the participation of several players from Shikarpur and neighbouring areas.
