Siliguri, 23rd August: 2-month-old Jayita, the daughter of Pritam Sarkar, has been suffering from a complex physical ailment since birth. While Siliguri Sadar Hospital and North Bengal Medical College and Hospital failed to treat her, the private hospitals allegedly demand huge sum of money for her treatment.
Reportedly, Jayita’s father Pritam Sarkar is a resident of Sipahi Para under Dabgram-2 Anchal and is a garage mechanic by profession. Being unable to afford such expensive treatment, he desperately appealed for help.
Meanwhile, upon learning the family’s helpless situation, Dabgram Fulbari Yuva Trinamool Congress President Goutam Goswami extended his helping hand towards the family. He visited their house on Sunday and assured of taking all responsibilities for the infant’s treatment.
