Siliguri, 01st April: In light of the coronavirus lockdown, the Dabgram-2 North Shanti Nagar Panchayat member Mithu Sarkar distributed ration among the needy with the help of the local traders and panchayat members.
Mithu Sarkar stated that about 90 % population of the area falls under the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category. Keeping this in mind, rice, pulses, oil and other food items were handed over to around 150 poor families on Wednesday.
